The Southgate

Been here a couple of times after walking our dog. Lovely friendly staff food looks amazing especially the carvery. Water given straight to the dogs and treats which is a nice touch. Great selection of beers.

Typical pub food. Friendly service. Reasonable prices.

Called there yesterday for Sunday lunch with my family, the food was excellent value for money. Was hot and loads of it. The waitresses were so polite and helpful too. Couldn't ask for more. It's a real shame that some other establishments in the area aren't pulling their weight. Top class effort and can't wait to return. Well done!

Walked here following a recommendation from our campsite. A lovely pub- really friendly staff and delicious food. BIG portions too! Spotless facilities. Outdoor patio garden looked nice, but we staying indoors and chatted to the managers because they were so friendly!

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Southgate for Mother’s Day. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced for two courses. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were especially good and homemade. No aunt Bessie’s here! The dessert was wonderful. Will definitely come again!
