Pottery lessons with Claire are such a fun and relaxing way to spend a couple of hours. Claire explains everything clearly and is very patient and encouraging. Her own creations, which are dotted around the studio, are beautiful. I’ve had a couple of lessons and am looking forward to more. A gift voucher for some lessons makes a brilliant Christmas or birthday present too. Highly recommended.

An incredible afternoon learning from Claire in her wonderful studio. We both had so much fun creating and asking lots of questions! She is very thorough and thoughtful, down to every detail - we chose to get our pots sent to us via post and Claire even packages and posts it safely for you at a small cost. It felt like an afternoon with a friend - thank you and hope to come back!

We had an amazing afternoon with Claire at The Portable Pottery Company. Our 9 year old son really enjoyed the session and learnt so much. The studio is lovely - full of creativity and inspiring ceramics. Claire is a fantastic teacher who made the session really fun and relaxed, her enthusiasm and passion for her craft is infectious. The overview Claire gave of the whole process was really interesting. We were all so pleased with the bowls we created. I would highly recommend!

My cousin and I did an afternoon course with Claire, learning how to make and sculpt a pot on the wheel. The day was wonderful: Claire is very engaging, passionate about her work, and a friendly and supportive teacher. We have such fun with Claire! She has introduced both my daughters to wonderful world of pottery over the last few months. They both look forward so much to their weekly sessions in her beautiful and creative studio making all sorts of gorgeous pieces ! We can't stop coming back for more.
