  • Took my grandson aged 7 for the 1st time he's ever fished. We were on oak lake which I fished 4 yrs ago as it was always a good place to get a bend in your rod.. ...It never disappointed...He had 4 Carp and a decent roach and we left at 2 O'clock. He enjoyed the fishing more than the excellent sausage bun that he had from the onsite cafe. Even though the majority of the lakes had matches on we only had 7 anglers which was good for me to teach him the basics without encroaching in any of the u...

  • It was my first time carp fishing and I was a bit nervous as I suffer bad from mental health. It was so quiet and peaceful. The baliff who takes your money was very polite and spoke to you nicely. I'm going back on Saturday as I loved it so much.

  • Great fishing, great tackle shop, great cafe. All at a reasonable price. There are plenty of lakes to choose from. It is possible to drive right up to many of the pegs which is a huge bonus for people with mobility issues and also in the event of sudden downpours

  • A real hidden gem in the heart of Yorkshire. Well spaced out camping and caravanning pitches all with electric hookups. Well stocked fishing lakes for those looking to relax. A reasonably priced cafe on site. Clean and well looked after toilet and shower block with pot washing facilities. For those lucky to own an electric car there is a charging point for you. The best way to book is through the website. I hope you enjoy your stay.

  • Fabulous camp site! Level hardstandings with grass too and EHU. Great TV reception and a good 4g phone signal. The facilities were new and immaculately presented and beautifully warm too. If you're into fishing it's next to the fishing lakes. If you're not into fishing it's still a brilliant site on it's own merits. The nearest pub ( Ye Jolly Farmer, they serve food too ) is about 1.8 miles away and an easy cycle ride if you've got bikes! Great place, we will definitely be going back here.
