  • Disappointing experience. I won't go into detail, but there are better clubs to join at a fraction of the cost of this club. If you do however choose to join, please get a receipt for your "Trial Day" sail as the Skipper wants cash in hand and you won't see that or your deposit again. You have been warned.

  • This “club” has new rules that are a scam in my opinion. You have to pay £225 per month every month after you have been onboard twice. I ended up paying £600 for two days on board. The skipper is a complete bread head and only after your money. The club runs throughout the year so winter sailing too. I was completely mugged and threatened with legal action if I didn’t pay up.

  • A great concept to help build miles and enable inexperienced sailors (like me) to gain experience in the presence of knowledgeable people. I did a ‘trial’ sail with Paul and the club last week, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I learned quite a lot in just this one day and will hopefully be joining the club in the near future.

  • The best possible way to enjoy sailing in the company of friendly and knowledgeable members. The club owner, Paul, is good fun to be around and always gives pertinent advise. He knows his stuff and not only can one just relax and sail around the Solent but one can also build on their sailing knowledge and learn a lot both in practice and theory. Thunderbolt is a really nice yacht to sail and the club plans regular sailing trips to France as well.

  • Brilliant opportunity to build up sailing experience with a choice of sailing days throughout the year. Very friendly atmosphere on board with all roles shared well between crew members. Excellent and very experienced skipper, always prepared to offer guidance and advice, I feel that I am learning a lot, and thoroughly enjoying every trip.
