Have fished here for trout in excess of 30 years. Not as pleasant as it was, which is reflected in the much smaller number of anglers who now fish here. In some part, the increased footfall due to Wetlands has put some anglers off, but also the lack of TW staff involvement and say in the running of the site has also offended some former customers. The bird watchers have also noticed the absence of the shyer species of birds.

Ridiculous opening hours. Came there on sunny bank holidays just to hear they are closing for the day. Who gave you authority to close the access to nature when people want to enjoy? Is this nation-wide plan to keep people home glued to their brainwashing TVs? So miserable!

All the staff at this fishery are brilliant, especially Cliff, so helpful.
