Sensei Rangan and his fellow black belts are fantastic. My son and I walked into the dojo not quite knowing what to expect and were made to feel welcome. Rangan is great karate instructor who is a very friendly person whilst still teaching tough, exciting and interesting traditional karate sessions. A long time student of Rick Jackson he has decades of experience with Fudochi which he demonstrates in a dynamic and vibrant way.

sensei Rangan Ravindran is a fantastic instructor who demonstrates great technical ability and a deep understanding of karate but who is at the same time very approachable. Fudochi karate is a take on traditional Shotokan Karate which is both insightful and challanging regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced karateka.

Excellent Karate instructor - highly recommended. Sensei Rangan is a true instructor that understands the deep principles of karate - which is a very rare find. I would highly recommend him and his classes. He trained (and still is) under Sensei Rick Jackson 8th Dan. I love how he incorporates the principles of karate into the application of kumite and of life itself.

I've really enjoyed training with Rangan at Surrey Fudochi and the club members made me feel welcome from the start. The classes are demanding but really rewarding and Rangan's focus on technique and pushing your personal limits mean I can really see a difference in my karate ability and my physical conditioning. Rangan is a great instructor with ideal for experienced karateka and for people just starting out.
