I started private guitar lessons with Stephen as a teenager more than 40 years ago. Looking back, I must have been an infuriating student, but he patiently coached me through RSM grades, and entered me into local guitar competitions. Stephen has patiently guided me through learning the classical guitar for a few years now. I started to learn the guitar late in life. I wouldn’t have made the progress I have if it wasn’t for Stephen’s patience, good humour, nudging when necessary, feedback on technique, finding pieces of music that test my ability (and sometimes my patience because I’m a grumpy old man) and his continual support.
