Stage Door School Of Dance & Drama

My daughter has been going to Stage Door since the age of three; she is now 12 and still attending ballet, tap and modern classes: Stage Door have become a like family to her and she loves her teachers and has made some lovely dance friends along with way. There is a wonderful opportunity to take part in the local panto at the Pavilion as well as summer schools and shows. The teachers are very professional and still continue to have an excellent reputation. Highly recommended dance school.

My rating has nothing to do with their lessons as we haven’t got that far. It is purely based on the customer service I have received. A very “friendly” receptionist basically don’t want us to sign up👍 I just want to get some information and all I feel like “we don’t want you”.

I have been associated with Stage Door for many years now and I have to say that I find the review that stated that a teacher had ‘dug her nails’ into a child’s head very strange indeed. I have never witnessed anything like this happening and cannot believe that it would happen. I went here myself since I was three till a couple years back. I did make some friends and learned a lot there but the teaching methods I do not agree with. The teachers (I won’t name names) would dig their nails into our heads. They would call everyone foolish for certain things that made everyone feel really bad about themselves, and more. I was taking my daughter and she was happy with classes.The reason why I gave 2 stars is the owner.I informed her my daughter cant attend the classes from next term as we are moving to Spain.She expected me to pay the full amount of the term when we won't even be in the country!I am affraid so it isn't possible or fair to expect.On .e informing her it will not happen she acted very unprofessionally and started the waterfall of insults towards me and my personality ,all infront of a few girls...
