South Staffordshire Sailing Club

Yesterday my daughter attended the topper open training at South Staffordshire Sailing Club. The lake/reservoir itself is scenic and a nice place to spend time as a spectator or sailor. The club is in a very accessible location (as is close to the M6 Motorway) has a decent sized car park, a modern clubhouse with excellent facilities but more importantly we were made very welcome and if we lived more locally we wouldn’t hesitate in joining this excellent sailing club.

I have been a member of SSSC for over 10 years and remember the first time I arrived unsure of what to do and who to talk to. Fears evaporated as numerous people came to chat to tell of what the club is about and how to get involved. I joined with my 2 daughters who were quickly welcomed into the junior fleet and put on the water almost immediately under close guidance.
