About Skills4reform

Skills4Reform is a Social Enterprise and our aim is to provide employability skills training, support and guidance to prisoners and ex-offenders of any age. We work with prisons to identify individuals due to be released within 3 months who genuinely wish to change and work. Upon completion of the programme we help them find meaningful employment or apprenticeship placements, through our partners and networks. Our objective is to reduce re-offending, rebuild lives and rebuild communities and we do this by adopting the following core principles: Building confidence Empowerment & Accountability Support through mentoring Training With high unemployment rates in the UK, the statistics for ex-offenders finding employment are bleak. According to government figures, 46% of adult prisoners re-offend within a year of release, costing UK taxpayers £13bn a year. Skills4Reform has started to establish and build itself nationally with a network of supporters with its roots based at HMP Thameside, London operated by Serco Group Plc. Skilled facilitators deliver structured sessions and over the last three years Skills4Reform have: Developed and designed a programme which covers a number of topics such as: - Building Confidence - Communication Skills - CV & Interview skills - Presentation & Networking Skills - Money Skills
