Six O'Clock Club

The Six O’Clock Club started life in January 2013 as an opportunity to bring together a group of business owners and professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators and investors, for after work drinks in London. There was no agenda and no “rules” beyond encouraging visitors to grab a drink at the bar and talk to the people around them. It’s the first step in the “know like and trust” process and assuming you’re not painfully shy (which we’re also addressing) one of the most natural things in the world, get involved in conversation and see where it takes you. Over time relationships have formed, a Facebook group started, conversations have continued and the reasons for meeting have developed. The Six O’Clock Club still presents opportunities to meet and “network” with other business owners but it’s become a great deal more purposeful. It’s become a place of learning, a place to seek and offer support, a resource for knowledge and experience and an organisation with a collective voice that represents not just it’s thousands of members and supporters but their friends and families, colleagues, clients and suppliers too. It’s become a cause, and as such it’s coming of age with an offer that’s much broader than it’s original purpose to bring people together for after work drinks. It’s become a community of business owners and professionals with a real desire for change in the world.
