Sidmouth Bowling Club

A great, friendly bowling club where new members are made welcome. Give it a try. Look out for the taster events later in the year when you can have a go and see if you are as good as the bowlers on the TV.

We used the tennis courts as we often do. Ten pounds per hour. Grass courts are great. All weather are good standard.

My partner and I went along for some free "taster" sessions at Sidmouth Bowls Club - we were made so welcome. Despite the fact that we had never picked up a bowl before, our coach Mike was extremely patient and convinced us that we could, after 4 or 5 lessons, be proficient to bowl on our own. He was right! From a non-experienced bowler! I went with my partner and had a game and were really impressed with the facilities and the casual atmosphere. Not sure how it would be rated by a bowls connoisseur, but we really liked it.
