  • A hive of organised rowing activity

  • I had planned to visit this place for a long time but Storm Dennis was approaching on the date when I went there. Although the wind and rain was very strong, I still managed to put up some records here. The surrounding was very nice and quiet, you can have a look there with your family when it is a sunny day. In fact, you will enjoy it if you like the sea and rowing boat.

  • I am not a rower but I've seen them while fishing, and have heard good things. See their website for details. Fantastic exercise. Fun and fresh air.

  • It's not open to the public. But it is very accepting of new members. They run learn to row courses for beginners and accept experienced rowers. This is primarily a coastal rowing club, but being based at a river mouth they have both river and coastal boats and attend both event types.

  • Good place to learn to row
