School On The River

The School on the River programme (run by The River Thames Boat Project) is an outdoor, experiential learning programme for primary school groups. The sessions are delivered on board a converted Dutch barge, moored on the Thames in West London.

Children work in small groups to complete hands-on activities whilst learning about the River Thames.  Activities are linked to the National Curriculum for science and geography and are designed to encourage active participation.

The school on the River programme offers first-hand experiences that can't be replicated in the classroom.
