Sarah Bates School Of Swimming

We used to love this place, but we missed a term payment (accidently, we've been going for 3+ years!) And were told we had 24 hours to pay it or be banned as they have plenty of people on the wait list to have our place. I was away with work at the time so couldn't pay that week. This frankly appalling attitude by the admin has obviously soured our whole experience of the place all our kids used to love going to and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone now

Sarah is such a fabulous teacher and is by far the most engaging swimming teacher we have found... our little boy absolutely loves his lessons thanks to Sarah

Located near Findern, about 5 to 7 minutes of the A38. Ample parking space. Swimming pool is not that big. And changing rooms are small. Teachers are quite good. They are present in the water. Ratio ranges from 5:1 to 3:1. It has a one way system in place at the moment. There is a viewing area by the side of the pool, but you may get splashed.

Great pool for learning. The owner, Sarah, is amazing and with her team of instructors have done a great job teaching my daughter. There's usually 3-4, sometimes 5 max per class and the instructors are in the pool alongside the kids. The complete beginners tend to be 1 on 1. Each session is an ½ hour and I think it's around £11:50 per session. Free on site parking adjacent to the canal with the Bubble Inn across the road. I would definitely recommend

Both my girls have been swimming with Sarah for over 3 years. While one has now finished my youngest continues...inspired to pass as many levels as possible. This I credit to her determination and the support and coaching of Sarah and her staff of great teachers.
