Sailing North

Great teacher on a beautiful yacht. Had some experience but needed day skipper qualification to charter in Greece. Dan talked me through the process, got me on the right course and got everything sorted without any hassle. Highly recommended.

Company owner requested personal data, ie scanned copy of my passport for the reason he could not explain (sailing within the UK waters). This is clearly in breach of EU GDPR and UK data protection regulations. All who send scanned passports over the email should be aware that scanned copies are kept in public GMAIL accounts without proper business needs and not really required for the sailing trips within UK coastal waters.

Gorgeous day with Sailing North last August. We sailed from Moville up around Inishowen Head then back to Derry. Fabulous views! Everyone got to take the wheel and could involve themselves as much or as little as they were comfortable with. Dan was a relaxed but vigilant captain and we felt as safe as houses. A wonderful day, will definitely do again

A beautiful, safe strong boat, cruising one of the most amazing coastlines in the world with extended trips to the spectacular Hebridean islands. What could be better? This is a terrific opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of challenging sailing in this area.

Went on a weekend trip to the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay and it was fabulous. My first time sailing on open seas - as opposed to inshore - and it was the experience of a lifetime. Amazing feeling to take the wheel and feel the waves - all under Dan's careful eye. Craic on board was brilliant and Islay was breathtakingly beautiful. Lovely people and so nice to sail in to your destination and feel part of something already at the Marina. Highly recommend it and will definitely go again!!!
