  • What a bargain at £16 for 18 holes on a Friday afternoon. Course in excellent condition as it drains very well. We were using winter tees which were all in good condition. You could easily put your tee in which isn't always the case with astroturf. Greens firm and fast for this time of year. Plenty of slopes on them and we will be back in the summer which will be a challenge. You could see there has been lots of tree maintenance over the winter with branches chopped off. • A picturesque golf course set in Sherwood forest. A good variety of holes, water, dog legs, elevated greens/tees and the signature 17th. The distances offer an opportunity to score well. Practice facilities include a driving range, putting and chipping area. The staff are friendly. The clubhouse offers food and drink with chips which are fantastic! Priced very fairly that it really is great value for money. This is a course which I enjoy returning and do return to play each golfing season.

A steady opening par 4 follow by a double dog leg par 5 set up for a good round of golf. The fairways were perfect and the greens firm and fast, probably the best I've putted on. So many good holes here, each one offers a different challenge. The 17th par 3 is by far and away the signature hole here, teeing off from an elevated box with a green protected by water at the fr...
