Of course its a bucket list course and so the butterflies were definitely around on the first tee. As soon as you glimpse the iconic club house turning off the main road it brings a smile to your face. We were met at the door by Ian who was rapidly enthusiasic to show us round and talk through some of the previous Open final round moments, it really built the excitement ahead of going out trying to do the course justice. Certainly for me Birkdale showed me its teeth and risk reward holes too...

Beautiful place to walk amongst the trees and sand dunes

Magnificent to visit this club with its profound history. Very nice conditions even in March. Classic links layout with all that comes with. Will come back to take revenge on some of the holes.

Had a wonderful time playing this course. It has a great layout and was truly a challenge. It is definitely a course you have to play in this area.
