Rochdale Afc

Rochdale was a ground I hadn't Been to before. But despite the 45 mins walk from the station I was pleasantly surprised. It is a good old fashioned grounds set in a residential area unlike modern industrial estate grounds which have no soul. Its a lively Atmosphere inside too and stewards are patient and professional. Beautiful Guinness, Incredible Pie. Nice stadium and friendly staff/stewards. Would go again, hopefully not in the National League 👍🥧

Fabulous stadium, given what it used to be like. The atmosphere can be fantastic especially in the Sandy Lane end, which has no seating, so a nostalgic place to watch the game as we did many years a go. The pitch is in a fantastic condition. The club has in recent times fought off a group that in real terms could have seen the club go out of business. Now it's owned and managed by the fans. Sadly on the field its not great. A few of the lads had booked a private game, so I went to photograph it, lovely ground vast improvement since I last visited 30 years ago, friendly staff, great pitch.
