Recycle York (Bike Shop)

Best second hand bike shop in town! Always come in for minor repairs or if I need something like helmet/pedals, pumping tyres. Lads working there are amazing and always so smiley and helpful! They can recommend bikes and advise on size too which is great!

Bought a very fairly priced bike from recycle not too long ago. It's been a life changer helping me get around York and couldn't be more pleased with it. However as you do with second hand bikes there were a couple kinks that needed fine tuning. I went back and all my issue were handling quickly, effectively and with an amazingly positive tone. All in all recycle is a great shop run by great people, I'd recommend them to anyone looking a bike whatever the price range or needs you might have

What an awesome place and even better staff! I had this problem for years - my lower gears didn't change smoothly. Tried fixing myself for hours, but no luck. So this guy, Olly, fixed it in minutes! Now they change smooth as a butter! He even oiled my chain and pumped up my tires. Highly recommend this place! ;)

This is a great bike shop. Really helpful every time. Yesterday I called in thinking I had a snapped brake cable. Turned out I had lost a fixing that secures the cable to the frame. Luke spotted the problem and did the repair straightaway. This is also a great shop for affordable bikes: I bought a bike to use around town from them 2 years ago: rides really well, and no problems at all. Highly recommended. Alan D. ,Clifton, York.
