Very friendly and welcoming airfield. Great place to learn to fly with excellent instructors, and the new cafe (opened April 2022) with its view straight out onto the grass apron is practically worth the trip

Currently learning how to do my PPL here, very friendly people and great tutoring.

I had a 90 minute flight with a guy called Paul in a little euro plane.. Very informative he is with his knowledge of northumbeland. Really enjoyed the flight and well worth a go if your looking into this kind of thing. Our route took the a697 up past Wooler and to coldstream and then along the tweed to berwick, then down the coast to druridge bay bay and across to the airfield . Circling areas of interest. all in all a very enjoyable experience and well worth a flight.

Pardon the pun,but the folks at Purple Aviation went above and beyond to make both mine and my girlfriends flight experience a very special event,carried out against a backdrop of the stunning Northumberland coast. Thanks.
