PowerUp Learning has been founded by Steve and Airiel Booth, both long term residents of Battle with enhanced DBS checks. With an undergraduate degree from Durham University alongside a Masters in Computer Science, Steve’s a keen coder and tinkerer with all things computer-related. His experience includes 5 years as a Secondary school teacher (ICT) along with 10 years running a local Financial Services company. Airiel also holds a Masters in Computer Science, from Kent University, and has worked as a computer developer for some years. She combines this with her love for sharing knowledge in her capacity as a teacher – Airiel has taught locally for over 10 years. Subject specialisms include Computing, Maths, EFL and Mandarin Chinese. Our Vision As a family we love to travel, discover, learn and play. We’re grateful for the opportunities that we’ve had to do this throughout our lives. We feel IT skills are central to the opportunities the future holds – everyone should have the opportunity to PowerUp their learning! For learners, whether adult or child, we aim to provide a range of flexible opportunities to help you make the most of technology. We’re a social enterprise – this means that at least half of our profits gets reinvested or donated, helping us achieve our community goals.
