Pontefract Bowling Club

Lovely people. Impossible green

Moving into the area, so looking round for a crown green bowling club. Website was ok to look round. I asked a question on Facebook but no one came back. So I didn't join the club.

Good atmosphere, very clean and tidy, cash only at the bar, small car park, welcoming staff

It's a great place for a drink an I must say the bar steward looks after his beer both lager an bitter has pool/snooker tables dart board big screen TV quizzes on a Saturday really nice atmosphere it's worth a try

Very Dissapointed! A couple of months ago I enquired about hiring this venue out for my sons christening, and I have just called up to find out when they wanted payment for...I was passed around and spoke to 3 people... in the end, I was told in a stuck-up way, that because "Anne" had told us that we could have the room..."it does not work like that, you have to send a letter for the committee to review" - yeah, turn down about 50 people who would be paying customers for drinks etc!? no sense...
