Nick will start with where you are and take you in the musical direction you want to travel. He has a versatile knowledge of music and is at ease with a great variety of styles. He will tailor his teaching to your needs. He has been instrumental in boosting my confidence in music theory and technics. I highly recommend him.

Nick is an excellent teacher, he is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and has helped me both foster my passion for jazz and blues and helped me improve some of my pieces.

The last lesson I had with Nick helped me with altered chords and left hand voicings on a 12 bar jazz blues exercise. He has a vast knowledge of music, a great deal of patience, and an enthusiastic and nurturing style of teaching. I would highly recommend him whatever your skill level.

Nick tutored my son as far as Grade 7 piano, which he passed with distinction. We were always very happy and impressed with Nick’s enthusiasm and professionalism as well as his patience under occasionally challenging circumstances. Nick was always very reliable and I cannot recall a single occasion in over 3 years of service that he let us down. As an adult learning taking the piano up again after a long break was pretty daunting, however Nick has a friendly but focused approach to teaching which really helped getting me back up an running. Since starting again I have passed grade 5 and intend to push on from there.
