What we believe Oakfield House has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2012, yet we never lose sight of each student's individual progress. Above all, we are committed to helping our students as much as we can and believe that the child comes first. With the right attitude and effort, students of all abilities are capable of doing well. Preparation is key! 11+ preparation is best started in year 4 and GCSE preparation should start in year 8/9. Starting later than this causes unnecessary stress and not enough exam practice. How we teach Although we do like to incorporate interactive devices to bring a subject to life, we generally take a traditional approach to teaching. Homework and short tests are set weekly to ensure that material is both understood and learnt. This means that we can identify problem areas fairly quickly.
