North Hertfordshire College - Hitchin Campus

I go here for an Art course and it's great. I've seen a few 1 star reviews saying the teachers don't care and it's poor education but I really don't understand those reviews, because, I've received loads of help, my tutor is very understanding of my mental health and I've learnt so much more. The other students on my course have similar views aswell.

They have a good selection of courses the staff were mostly friendly but a lot of the time the staff were very unorganized, there was a lack of communication between teachers and students. E.g. a lot of the time the teacher wasn't in and none of the us were told or there was a class change and nobody knew.

If you thinking about applying to this college or recommending it to someone, don't.It's a waste of time, money and travel. I don't know a single teacher I've had in my art course that cared about my work. Even worse, I think they cared less about my mental health.

I would not recommend anyone to come to this college, the lessons have no structure the teachers don't help and often leave the lesson for long amounts of times. Teachers don't know what they're doing in the lesson, the time table is very messy leaving large amounts of waiting time in between lessons e.g 2hrs45mins! I studied here recently, and it was an awful environment to learn in! Qualifications are never finished. Teachers don't show up and leave frequently, to be replaced by no tutor at all! They keep trying to remove my reviews too! Please never attend this establishment if you want a good future career.
