  • As a complete novice, Mud Gang was a great place to start as it's a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. There's a delightful sense of community amongst the potters, novice and experienced alike. Mud Gang is especially great for those looking to work on their hand-building skills though there is always enough time to hop on the wheel during a Mon/Wed/Fri workshop. My biggest tip as a beginner is to come up with a list of ideas of what you want to build, and they'll help you get there! Rachel, ...

  • One of the staff members (Ewelina) is extremely rude, and this has completely put me off finishing using the set of sessions that I bought. I also feel that the staff would regularly get annoyed at participants for petty things, such as not cleaning up, even though participants shouldn’t really be expected to do this.

  • The classes are perfect if you have an idea you'd like to try out, the staff are lovely and show you the basics if you have never worked in ceramics before. Always a calm, friendly atmosphere and often a therapeutic experience working with clay :)

  • Yesterday was my last day at Mud Gang after almost a year of being a member. Being at Mud Gang has been such a bittersweet experience. It was both incredible to have the opportunity to keep doing pottery over the lockdown, and such a heartache to see the staff routinely showing poor ethics.
