  • This weekend I did the Suicide First Aid course with Steve. Steve is an excellent teacher who makes sure he handles the subject with sensitivity and makes sure all participants look after their mental health at the same time. The course is very informative and gives you a chance to practice the stuff you learn, which provides me with confidence if I have to use it in real life. The only thing I have to say is this course is a must-do as you never know when you may have to use it.

  • Positive experience. This is one of the most useful courses I have ever attended. Steve was absolutely fantastic, he is so sensitive to everybody's needs and feelings during the day. I now feel so much more confident in discussing this topic.

  • Steve is a fantastic trainer and advocate of mental health and suicide first aid. I attended one of his suicide first aid courses, where I was made to feel comfortable in discussing sensitive and emotional issues. Steve put everyone at ease, explained everything in good detail using excellent resources. The pace, content and environment was perfect for the course. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone - it could save a life one day.

  • This is a course that I truly believe everyone needs to do. It teaches you skills that can help at the most sensitive and emotional times in a person's life and gives you the confidence to talk to a person in a direct but informed and calm manner. Steve's delivery of the course was impeccable. Providing relevant case studies for each section helping us facilitate and solidify our learning. He made the content of the course easy to understand with the occasional breather to reset after discu...

  • I felt the course was well delivered and Steve created a safe space for a nice size class of 8. With the varied backgrounds we were able to engage in some terrific dialogue and exchange of views. The slides were highly informative and in some ways actually better than the workbook provided. Overall I came away with most of my learning objectives met and hope that by keeping in touch with Steve I can get the other questions answered. Here's to stopping suicide one conversation at a time!
