Millfields Hotel

Stayed in rafters suite which was nice and spacious. Old hotel so expected a few minor issues like poor water pressure. Staff were very nice and helpful. The food at the wedding was delicious and a well stocked bar with cask ales too.

As I travel for work and stay in many places in the UK, I have to say this one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. I do stay in various places. So let me say first and foremost Karl ( I haven’t met him) is the chef here. The food is amazing. I felt it’s like fine dining but in a relaxed and friendly hotel. We booked a room as we were going to a Military Veterans Christmas Party that was being held around the corner in a local pub. Had booked the room through a booking app and had requested a room with a bath as I require one due to a health condition. Good location, not far from centre. Rooms are pretty basic but have everything that you need. Beds are comfy and rooms are clean. We went during the heatwave and staff had already set up fans for us to make us more comfortable. We We staying with another couple but had booked separately.
