Sensei Gus Matsumura was an amazing teacher, helping me adapt from a different karate style to Shotokan, helping me understand the very basics , up to advanced techniques in a friendly yet very effective way. Not only will you gain great karate knowledge, but you will also have the pleasure of sharing a dojo with a fantastic group of karatekas who are there to help both in the training aspect of life as in personal issue...

Whether your new to karate or your returning after a break the matsumura karate academy is a great place to engage or re-engage with your karate training. I have trained there for the past five years with great support from start till now off all the senior grades and have always been made to feel welcome 🙏 🥋

Great dojo with teaching traditional karate for everyone. Worked my way from white belt to second dan black belt over several year and I have developed in confidence and sustained a good fitness level thanks to matsumura karate.
