The Founding Partners The phrase Mason-Dixon has powerful connotations for many people. It was created to represent a boundary between “North” and “South” and became directly related to slavery and fleeing slaves’ pursuit of freedom.We decided to refresh this history by naming our company Mayson-Dixon. For us, “Mayson” is a combination of our founders’ names, Matt and Jayson, and a reference to the fact that both of us growing up in counties that touch the Mason-Dixon line. We are reclaiming this heritage to brand our work as an interracial business team building communities for a better future.
