I had Steve for lessons years ago and he was always late, rude and made me stop off in Old town for food which he ordered mid-lesson.

Don’t trust the good reviews. He will not respond to calls even if you have an exam coming up because “he got busy”! Like someone else also said, he will stop to buy burgers and eat while a learner is driving not watching or teaching them at all, taught nothing related to safety or the intricate details to face an exam. Waste of money.

Steve was consistantly 15 minutes late for lessons and this time wasnt made up. He brought food from a shop during my lesson and ate whilst i was driving, took phone calls whilst I was navigating roundabouts, text on his phone. Now he is ignoring my messages. Please please avoid, waste of money and time. Have reported him to DVSA.

Steve is a fanstastic instructor. Clearly very experienced - he's seen it all and can help anyone. Very calm, patient and accommodating. Cannot recommend more highly.

I contacted Steve Marsden after my instructor from ‘No Gears’ constantly let me down. It was six weeks to my test and the instructor from ‘No Gears’ never showed for a lesson and pretended he text me (he didn’t text!) so enough was enough!! Steve Marsden came to the rescue! Steve is calm, really patient, a wealth of experience and knowledge and gave me so much confidence! Such a lovely man! I wish I had booked him from the start! I learnt more in that six weeks than I did with ‘No Gears.’...
