We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Alpaca Hut. Karl and Carolyn’s farm is such a beautiful, special place. The scenery is incredible, the animals are friendly and Carolyn made sure our stay was perfect. The farm is also an animal sanctuary and one of our favourite things we did was go and feed the animals every day and collect fresh eggs in the morning. I hired out the holiday cottages to celebrate my birthday with friends over a weekend. Carolyn was such a great help with the organisation, she provided a fantastic list of local recommendations that helped the weekend run smoothly! I hosted a wedding ceilidh (pronounced Kay-Lea btw) at Lower Damgate Farm in October 2022. Dovedale Barn is such a fantastic venue, a large space that looked simply stunning. There was a large Scottish contingent on the night and we used the space to make a real foot-stompin' dance right through the evening. This really is a gem in the Peak District and the hosts could not have been more friendly.

Had a wonderful time staying with Carolyn and Karl. We were greeted by the very cute Ozzy & Blaze. The Alpaca hut was exactly how it is presented in the pictures. It was cozy and met all of our needs for our 3 night stay. We enjoyed wandering up to feed the Alpaca's and Goats. We were lucky enough to be around when 2 more goats became residents.
