Lakes Outdoor Experience

Great half days rock climbing with Iain this morning. Everything went really smoothly. Iain was really good with my two kids (age 13 and 14) and soon had them climbing confidently and safely. We’d never climbed outside before. It’s quite different to climbing indoors but a really rewarding experience in a beautiful environment.

Booked kayaking for myself and my partner, and then was told the night before that they had taken on other work since I hadn’t replied quick enough to the email, even though we had confirmed our activity on the phone the previous day and the email was just to confirm wetsuit sizes.

Fantastic experience in Great Langdale this week on the 1/2 day introductory rock climbing course. We were fortunate to have great weather all morning, and spent the whole 4hour session at the rock face climbing. Iain was very friendly and confidence inspiring, and once he was happy with our climbing / belaying, left us to get on with it whilst putting more lines in so we got the most from our time. A great morning, we would recommend to anyone.

Payed for a 2 day course for october but due to family bereavements I emailed Iain asking if I could change the course date to the November course which he said wasn't a problem, then recieved a further email stating the November course was being cancelled unless I agreed to pay double, I replied that I understood as these are difficult times for everybody & asked for a my money back, got no refund & no reply, be careful before paying any money to lakes outdoor experience or Iain Gallagher.

Kendal Mountaineering Services provided an amazing full day of activities for our group of friends in Cumbria. We all felt that their approach to safety was very professional, whilst still ensuring everyone could have fun without feeling out of their comfort zone. Thoroughly recommended to anyone in the North West / Cumbria for a superb outdoor activities day out!
