Had a kids party here. Man who works there is extremely rude and unhelpful. Would not drink her even for a a casual drink just out of principal.

Brilliant. Large, two storey building with plenty of tables, chairs, and sofas. Pool table and dart board downstairs with more upstairs. Plenty of space on my visit. I am not a local, with a group of work colleagues also not local, but we were made to feel very welcome. Clean, tidy, toilets were high quality with good smellies, a good benchmark for a sports and social club. TV played various sports in background. This has always been an nice place to drink, talk and play. It's old but I like it as it shouts to you with its history. The prices of the drinks are brilliant and you can book a stage/room/drinking area for free! (Unless that's changed.) The snooker tables are just like the ones of the TV. It's quiet so you may have to take someone to chat with you. Plus you will need a membership to enter which is one payment over the year. (It may have changed now?)
