  • No words to describe the vibes and the energy of this hub and their hosts. From yoga and sound bath sessions, to full on energy drumming rehearsals. They offer activities for everybody in our community and you feel part of a big family right from the moment you step in. A vibrant place that adds great value to this community.

  • A brilliant group, brilliant leaders, brilliant band members and a truly inclusive approach to helping people experience and enjoy music and movement Brazilian style. Katumba has a a true community based ethos and is there for everyone to enjoy and learn - give it a go!

  • ❤️ KATUMBA ! ! I can honestly say: My Best Days of the last 8 yrs has been with and around these Guys, and I feel proud that i was involved from Day 1 with Katumba, such a great bunch of people. With all ages from 18 - 70odd (ish) and with so many different Nationalities, mixing together and creating Fun, is what makes Katumba so Special. 5 Stars all the way from Me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✌🏽❤️

  • Katumba is a great community of people enjoying samba drumming. A real family atmosphere and no prior experience of drumming necessary. Experienced, enthusiastic teachers guide you from whatever skill level you have to being able to perform at parades and festivals all over the country, even international opportunities. • I joined katumba samba band approximately 12 months ago, we use this space for our rehearsals & a wide range of community activities which are available regularly for the local community to participate in. The team are warm, welcoming & friendly. The band includes people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and cultures. I have enjoyed every minute and would thoroughly recommend katumba and the culture hub at the John Archer centre.
