Improve your Balance
Wednesday 1st Nov - 13th December (6 classes; no class 22 Nov)
We need to balance through every moment of our lives - from sitting, standing and walking, to any dynamic shift in our selves. Our whole system co-operates to make this possible - from our brain, inner ears, eyes, and entire nervous, muscular and nervous systems. It's a remarkable feat!
However, as we age, our ability to balance well can be compromised through injury, or changes to our posture, hearing and eyesight. These gentle classes will help restore lost function and responsiveness through a variety of strategies, leading you to manage your balance better. Audio recordings of each class are available afterwards, so you don't have to attend the class in person.
Learn to respect and enjoy your own sensations, deepen your breathing and discover how engaging your whole self opens up new freedoms of moving, feeling and thinking for your life. Gentle Awareness through Movement classes, usually done lying on a mat.
