Jka Weston-Super-Mare Shotokan Karate Centre

I joined this group having never tried karate before. Not once have I felt intimidated or a hindrance to this well established group. Everyone has been so supportive, inclusive and helpful, especially the instructor, Trevor. Although I feel that I hold the class back, I am constantly reminded that everyone starts the same way and we are all in it together. Highly recommended.

My daughter has been with the club for many years. Everyone is so friendly and Trevor is an excellent instructor/teacher. His Passion, kindness and Ethos is not only reflected in his teaching but also in his students behaviour. Everyone is respectful, patient, kind and encouraging. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of taking up a new sport or returning, It is suitable for all abilities.

Friendly family oriented club, teaching genuine Shotokan karate. Great technical instruction, ensuring students understand how to use their bodies natural movements, with careful explanation of what they are doing and why. Great basics following the principles of karate, teaching, discipline, self control and respect to all, inside and outside the training hall. I have been training for over 20 years and have experienced lots of different teaching methods, this is the ‘Real Deal’.

Absolutely cannot recommend JKA Weston Super Mare highly enough. The club is extremely welcoming and Sensei Trevor along with all the students make it a fantastic learning environment. A truly pleasant, fun and engaging club to train with for people of all experience levels!
