Ian O'Brien Music

Ian has made a huge difference to my playing, and understanding of guitar playing, in just a few lessons. He is very good at pitching his teaching at the right level. In particular, he has been quick to work out what I can do, and what I might benefit from working on. I have felt challenged, but not so much that I felt out of my depth. I've known that Ian has an expansive knowledge of music for years as he used to be my college tutor. I didn't take the opportunity to have a 1 to 1 lesson with him then, but I'm glad I have done now; he has lots of patience like any great teacher needs, as well as a high level of musicianship and dedication to making sure you get the most out of the lesson. This means he will give you insight on not only what you may want to learn, but also what he knows will be helpful!
