  • Horizon gym is by far one of the best places I have trained. The atmosphere is great. The students are very friendly and supportive. The head coach (John hand) is a brilliant coach who invests a lot of time into the development of every individual. Not only is he a part of the student's progress in jujitsu, but he is always there to listen and support you off the mats. There are also other coaches at the gym who have an excellent understanding of the sport. The gym is full of students with...

  • Since starting here 2 years ago, my children have developed lots of confidence and important skills. It is a very reasonable cost meaning that my children can come to several sessions a week. They are both very happy and made lots of friends. The instructor is very approachable, friendly and patient. After my daughter returned from an injury which happened at a different place during a different sport, the instructor was able to adapt the activities within the session to allow her to particip...

  • I started taking my 8 year old boy to have a go at classes here to help him with his confidence and resilience. He absolutely loves it and Jon is fantastic with all the kids, he teaches all kinds of skills that school doesn't! My boy was welcomed with open arms and made to feel safe and valued - you can't put a price on that. 1000% recommended.

  • BJJ is not just a sport - It's a lifestyle! Great for adults who want to get fit and learn some fantastic self defense techniques. It builds confidence and character for kids and teaches them discipline and how to protect themselves. With Jon Hand you certainly are in good hands, my little boy started and its helping him lose weight and he is really picking up the basics now!

  • Great coaches, environment and other clientele that help put you at ease quickly. Keep an eye out for the Beginner's Course if you're new - it fills up fast! Don't worry if you don't get on it though as the Fundamentals classes are a great start for newcomers, first one is free and after that every penny spent is worth it. The timetable shows there are lessons on throughout the day. Get yourself in and get bitten by the BJJ bug! 🤙🏻
