We went into holmfirth for the festival of folk and decided to go to the cricket club it was packed out .We saw Zoe Bottomly who has a cracking voice,Muppet who was very funny with his lyric changes to his songs,Zhiznitz who sounded like blue grass were a brilliant band from Hull and lastly we saw Scott Doonican who was on his own but is in a band called The BAR_STEWARD SONS OF VAL DOONICAN he was a good singer and very very funny.Without exception they were all very entertaining.We are look...

Very neat village cricket ground tucked down the most unlikely back alley. Watched part of a local derby match (Holmfirth v Clayton West) in glorious sunshine. Very "bygone-English-summer". The only drawback was the worst bitter shandy I've ever had... how can you spoil a shandy?!

Great location. A little run down but always nice to have a cricket pavilion in the village.
