Hippo Swim Club

Absolutely brilliant. The teachers at Hippo Swim School give exactly the right amounts of support and challenge. One of my children is particularly sensitive and I am just so grateful for the care and attention they have received at Hippo Swim School. Progress is being made every lesson and both children are so happy during their lessons. We have tried several swim schools now and Hippo Swim School is undoubtedly the best.

Very interactive staff and made my child feel comfortable from the first day. The staff are so welcoming and my son looks forward to the last five minutes of the lesson where they have free time to play. He looks forward to his lesson every week. The instructors are all amazing but my son can't stop talking about James so thank you!

Hippo swimming is far superior next to other local companies. As a keen swimmer myself, it was extremely important to me to find the best provider around. Hippo came recommended after I experienced poor organisation and over populated classes elsewhere. The owner Elaine is personable, a great organiser and you can tell how much she and the other instructors love swimming and children. Our two boys have been swimming with Hippo swim since they were four. Their swimming has come on brilliantly and both are very confident in the water. Hippo swim really concentrates on technique once you’ve mastered the basics and my oldest does great front crawl. All the teachers are great, some of their favourites are James, Luke and Josh and the classes are really small so they get lots of individual attention. Would highly recommend.

I was very keen for my children to learn to swim as I believe it is a life skill. Both my daughters have been with Hippo Swim School since they were 3 years old (now 9 and 11) and with the help, support and encouragement of fantastic teachers such as Carla, Sam and most recently Emma, they have both now completed their stage 7 Learn to swim and are now both confident swimmers.
