Ok so you need I'D as it is an active military base. Once registered you get a friendly welcome. Never very busy. Open to the elements. Harder than it looks.

As a beginner, I have enjoyed my last year here. I accept it has not got all the facilities of a larger course but it is not as expensive, so you pay your money and take your choice. The course is certainly challenging enough for a beginner and I suspect for all but the most competent golfer who demands a challenge (if I ever achieve that status, I let you know). I would recommend it to a beginner who wants hassle free golf.

Nice, secluded golf club which also boasts a flying club and bowling alley - all within the confines of an RAF camp. You need to get access from the guard room opposite the entrance before you can enter.
