My daughter has recently started attending Helen Cowley riding academy for 1-2-1 lessons and has also attended one of the academy’s ‘own a pony days’ which she absolutely loved! The staff and horses are wonderful, very accommodating and clearly love what they do. Highly recommended

Really lovely place. I was quite nervous as have only ever ridden my friends (small) horse before so a total beginner and Heather was very patient and encouraging and quickly put me at ease. I did hesitate a bit when she lead out the biggest horse I have ever seen in my life but she soon had me on him and he was a real gentle giant, clearly used to teaching learners and even had us trying out a little bit of trotting by the end of the lesson. Booked a unicorn morning for my 6yo daughter. She had a blast! Very friendly staff and wonderful calm, peaceful environment where you can see well looked after ponies/horses. It boosted her confidence around ponies and taught her some basics i know she’ll remember if she rides again.

What an awesome team, nothing is ever too much trouble. Beautiful stables and horses. I would highly recommend them to anyone, I am even considering having another go at riding, after a bad fall I have never tried again, however the team fill me with confidence to try again!

My daughter has been riding with Heather one of the fabulous trainers at Helen’s academy for the past 9 months. There is always a lovely, friendly atmosphere at the stables and the team go out of their way to make my daughters visit enjoyable and fun. Prior to attending my daughter had never ridden before and she has progressed quickly thanks to the knowledge, expertise and encouragement received.
