Hawkstone Park Golf Club

Came for stay and play, golf courses are great, food in restaurant was great. However room was not serviced, bin not emptied, towels not changed, tea/coffee not renewed, bathroom not cleaned, old glasses not removed, had to sleep in old linen and shower with old towels. Really not acceptable when hotel has had all day to service room, very poor

3 of us have just returned from a play and stay and were blown away. The Hawkstone course is exceptional, the views of the Follies on the back 9 and the way the course is laid out is superb. The championship course is a very well laid out American style course which is also in excellent condition, especially the greens on both courses. Great place to stay and play golf.Food was outstanding although the price of the drinks was expensive,especially in the current climate. The Hawkstone 18 was very difficult if you hadn't played it before because there was so many blind shots.Some breathtaking views though.The championship 18 was a little easier as you could see what was needed.Lots of water on this 18.Condition on both was great. Just returned from an overnight (2 rounds, dinner B&B) at Hawkstone Park. 8 of us were all agreed it was an excellent experience and great value for money. Both the Hawkstone and Championship courses were in superb condition. They were scenic, challenging and great fun. The Hotel was also excellent. Good food , excellent rooms and pleasant surroundings. just back from playing both courses and had a great time but wasn't impressed with the Championship course which was very wet and muddy and buggies have done a lot of damage to the fairways on this course i would rate the championship course 2 out of 5. The Hawkstone course was lovely all the way round only bad point is some tee are very close to greens and not knowing the course we hit drivers on a dog leg par 5 to drive past the corner and on to the next green, so the green could do with be...
