  • Definitely recommend! Did the patisserie class today with Simon which was great. 6 hours sounded like a long time but it went quickly (in a good way!). Was a friendly, relaxed, environment from start to finish and got to make (and sample) a good amount of different bits or watch Simon make bits too. Lunch included which was made by Simon and was tasty too! Came away with lots of goodies which will keep us going!

  • Had the most brilliant cooking day with chef Simon on Show Stopping Veg. I’m not a vegetarian, but wanted more inspiration in cooking my daily choice of vegetables. I wasn’t disappointed! The day encompassed using various seasonal veg, including cooking one head of celeriac three different ways - wouldn’t have thought that possible.   • We held our Christmas Party with Hartley's Cookery School, and I cannot express how pleased we all were with the experience. None of the team had done anything similar in the past, so we were a bit nervous! However Simon was great throughout. We were back and forth on emails and calls to make a perfect plan that would be fun for the team, and Simon created the perfect personalised package.   • Did an evening pasta making course with Simon and it was just brilliant -- he is a great teacher (and lovely to boot!) and helped us make what was easily one of the most delicious meals I've ever cooked. I had eaten a couple of his meals during the pandemic and they were the highlight of the lockdown for me; his flavours are incredible. Would love to do his chef's table one day!

  • Review: Show-Stopping Veg 1 day course An informative and relaxed day, with a good balance of cooking for ourselves and demonstration. I particularly liked the individual work stations, it’s quite a treat cooking like that: I felt very ‘Masterchef’! Simon showed us how simple it is to do really tasty vegetables and shared plenty of professional tips you wouldn’t learn from a cookery book - I recommend taking a pen with you to write them all down.
