Didn’t even get a chance to say anything before the man on the door shrugged his shoulders at us. Very unwelcoming unless you’re a local, we didn’t bother go in after that, didn’t feel like we were welcome.

Always nice to be back here after all these years! You get some "types" calling in, "locals" all with Northern or Home Counties accents owning the place!? That said, the Manager (Richard) and staff are always smart and welcoming, food ALWAYS top notch and nicely prepared and served. As for the Home made cakes? Devine. I liked it. Decent drinks prices, didn't play but looked like quality tables of pool and snooker. Also dartboard and TVs for football/rugby etc cracking view from the windows too
