Half Acre Farm

Half Acre Farm is owned and operated by Sarah and Tom who are passionate about British flowers! ​ Whilst Sarah is in charge of planting, cutting and arranging the flowers, Tom takes on many of the important infrastructure projects, such as creating and maintaining the flower beds and all heavy lifting! ​ We have been growing the cut flower business steadily over the past six years, experimenting with what grows well in our local micro-climate and also which blooms provide the best vase life for our customers. Growing the business slowly has also allowed us time to learn how to manage 'pests' in a more environmentally conscious way, using organic growing methods and avoiding the use of harmful chemicals, pesticides and fungicides. Our goal has always been to grow seasonal 'nature friendly' flowers! ​ Last year we welcomed our first child into the family, affectionately known as 'Seed', whom we hope will share our love and enthusiasm for all things floral!
