  • I attended the sourdough workshop. We made rye, country, focaccia, and crackers. We also tasted Lawrence’s danish seeded rye and cinnamon buns. All delicious. It’s a great class to get started. I had made sourdough 15-20 years ago before it was trendy, but I now realise where I had been going wrong. I’ll make my first loaf without supervision next week. Hackney is now easy to get to for me using the Elizabeth line.

  • My partner and I were surprised with a sourdough class as a gift from our family. Lawrence came highly recommended and had a breadth (mind the pun) of experience. Lawrence was very accommodating taking on people of all experiences including ourselves as complete beginners.The day was organised well so that we had time to make four different types of bread, have a quick lunch and a good natter! The best part of the day was that we could take all of our bread home!

  • Honestly the best sourdough bread out there! The focaccia is also incredible, topped with onions and rosemary - irresistible! Hyper local, made with care in a micro bakery, and excellent service. I’ve been ordering for 3 years now and can’t recommend enough.

  • Superb fresh sourdough bread delivered to your door every week made locally by a lovely bloke who loves bread too much. Classic Sourdough is up there with the best in London. Fantastic rye bread that even my 91 year old German granny said was great and she knows rye bread. She’s not said anything nice about anything since the 1980’s so that’s a compliment in itself. I always look forward to Friday delivery.

  • I have had bread, focaccia as well as buns from Lawrence on a weekly basis for a long time. All the products are very delicious, and often warm on arrival, which l love. The customer service is brilliant and reliable. l highly recommend Hackney Bread Kitchen to all the bread lovers.
