Great Waves Swimming Academy

My son started 4 months ago at 3 years old. Although he had attended other swimming lessons he was quite anxious about going. He is now making really good progress and is enjoying the lessons. Everything is well organised with good communication from Great Waves.

My children have been having lessons with Great Waves for about 5 years and we are really happy. The teachers are great- really kind, patient and professional. Lessons are well organised and the communication is excellent. We are kept informed of any changes e.g. a different teacher or an issue with parking at the venue. I'd especially recommend Great Waves for children with SEN as they go out of their way to get to know each child and how to support them.

My two boys have been going to great waves for about 2 years now and have come on hugely. We tried a few other swim schools before and they just don't compare. The staff are amazing and really understanding, especially with my sensitive child. I recommend them to everyone and cannot rate them highly enough.

Can't recommend them enough! My 9 yr old son used to be petrified of the water and now gladly dives in the 3m deep end of the pool and swims beautifully. My over confident 5yr old daughter started with great waves at the age of 3 and has just transferred to one of their deeper pools and is loving it. It's great to have both kids in the water at the same time but in different classes suited to their ability. Teachers are all so friendly and supportive.

My daughter has started her lessons at great waves and absolutely loves it, the staff are really caring and tailor the lesson perfectly based on her ability, they regularly assess her to ensure she will progress accordingly. This is her favourite class in the week and we can’t wait to enrol our younger daughter also. One of the unique things is the small class ratio. We have referred and recommended this class to our friends who have also signed up and are having the same positive experience....
